Biotext was founded by Dr Janet Salisbury in 1990. Our main office is in Canberra and we also have offices in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Biotext staff have a unique combination of scientific and communication skills. We provide consulting, writing, editing and training services to many Australian government departments and agencies, academic institutions, nongovernment agencies and international organisations.

We specialise in the areas of health, agriculture and environment. Within these areas, our work has covered many topics, including clinical practice, health technology, evidence-based medicine, biotechnology, environmental health, risk analysis, communicable diseases, food safety and nutrition, animal health and welfare, air and water quality, grains research, land use, biodiversity and sustainable development.
