Universities are increasingly using open-source educational resources. Such resources are designed to increase access to scholarly publications, and to facilitate interaction among students and academics about specialist subject matter.
From the Anzac’s role in the Great War to human physiology to key social sciences concepts – the La Trobe University eBureau publishes engaging, high-quality, open-access e-textbooks on diverse subjects. Academics are invited to develop these resources to support the curriculum, and the university provides the authors with editing, design, copyright, peer review and online publishing services.
The La Trobe eBureau’s mission is to invest in the development of quality open-access resources to support online and blended learning.
Biotext crafted the information structure required for the 92-page e-textbook and created a bespoke design to meet the university’s requirements for an interactive PDF.
