The first day of each December marks World AIDS Day, and thousands gathered across Australia recently to remember those lost to, and those living with HIV. The day focused on raising awareness about the issues surrounding HIV and AIDS, and the theme in Australia was HIV is still here – and it’s on the move.
Australia has a long history of communicating about AIDS and HIV. In Australia’s 40-page 2017 World AIDS Day publication, Senator Dean Smith and Senator Lisa Singh noted, ‘In three decades, we have gone from being the home of the Grim Reaper to a world leader in the response to the impact of HIV and AIDS.’
For the third year, Biotext was proud to work with Pacific Friends of the Global Fund in creating this print publication, bringing together messages of awareness from all sides of Australian politics as well as research and insights from Australia’s medical science experts and research organisations.
