The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has launched the Australian Hospital Patient Experience Question Set (AHPEQS) website.
AHPEQS is designed to be used by hospitals and healthcare services to ask recent patients about their experiences of treatment and care.
The Commission shaped AHPEQS around a set of 12 questions, based on the aspects of treatment and care that patients in Australian hospitals and healthcare services said are most important to them.
The answers to the AHPEQS questions will help healthcare services to measure patients’ experiences of treatment and care. These answers will then inform the delivery of the sort of care that patients need and want. These uniform questions may also be used in the future to collect and compare information across Australian healthcare facilities.
Biotext worked with the Commission to write, structure and design the website for AHPEQS, which provides information for patients, and for hospitals and other healthcare providers.
