AccuRate is a software package accredited to generate the Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) star ratings out of 10 and to assess compliance with the National Construction Code. Biotext helped to create an accessible user manual for this software that would be accessible to both first-time and experienced assessors.

Working closely with building thermal performance assessor Tony Isaacs Consulting, our expert writers and editors used information design techniques to create a structure for the manual to assist comprehension of the content. Our copyeditors focused on style and consistency throughout. Biotext’s design team then used strategic information design to develop visual concepts appropriate for the text, graphics, figures and images.
