Biotext conceptualised and designed a suite of fact sheets, or ‘quick reference guides’, designed to support health services to monitor hospital-acquired complications (HACs) and put in place strategies to either reduce high rates of HACs or maintain low rates.
Developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, the HACs list ‘offers 16 agreed, high-priority complications that clinicians, managers and others can work together to address and improve patient care’.
Our design team devised a creative concept to combine medical information with clear, engaging infographics and icons, to underscore key information about each health complication. We provided final files as accessible PDFs.
Our familiarity with the Commission and its work, as well as many years of experience creating clear, informative health content for clinicians, patients and their families, supported our work on this project.
