Measuring up 2018 reports on the scientific publication output of Australian health and medical research over the last 5 years, focusing on research funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).

Last published in 2013, the Measuring up reports aim to measure the impact of Australia’s NHMRC funding scheme. The 2018 report found that NHMRC publications contributed to 31% of all Australian health and medical research output in 2008–12. Furthermore, NHMRC funding supported nearly half (45%) of the Australian health and medical research publications that are in the top 1% of cited publications in the world.

Biotext used data visualisation and accessibility principles to translate a complex scientific document into an accessible digital version. This included creating figures, restructuring tables and writing alternative text for tables and figures. Biotext also designed an infographic to convey the key messages from the report.

Our client said:

‘Biotext took a very complex scientific document and provided us with an accessible digital version. They took great care, and paid attention to detail that other companies I have worked with haven’t taken the time to do.’
