The Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) work with industry, irrigators, and local communities and government in developing water management strategies.

They wanted an infographic to explain how flows and connectivity affect the river’s biophysical functions and ecosystems. The infographic was to be used in a key strategy document and in public presentations.

Biotext worked with the MDBA team to analyse the existing text and complex diagram and develop a simple message and clear infographic to engage audiences. We aimed to ensure the new infographic was scientifically accurate but conveyed the main ideas simply with brief text and visual content.

‘Thanks again for translating the complex Venn diagram into this much more appealing figure! We think it will be used again and again for a multitude of purposes.’
