Biotext has worked closely with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) for a number of years. We partnered with the NHMRC to write and edit content for its new website, as well as developing a style guide to guide other writers and editors.

The NHMRC is Australia’s leading expert body promoting the development and maintenance of public and individual health standards.

Working closely with the NHMRC’s project management team, we started by assessing the information architecture of the website, and helped craft a clear and engaging framework for the website content. We wrote landing pages to provide important context for the details in each web section, and to lead users through the content and help them complete their tasks, including applying for and managing their funding. Our editors drew on their health and biomedical science expertise to develop a writing and editing style guide to ensure clarity and consistency across the website. We provided WCAG 2.0–compliant content that clearly communicated information to consumers, and health and research professionals.
