The second edition of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards addresses gaps identified in the first edition, including mental health and cognitive impairment, health literacy, end-of-life care and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.

Biotext worked with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care to develop the information architecture and design needed for the NSQHS Standards to be clearly understood and easily applied. We edited and designed the publication, and implemented clear, practical, easy-to-follow guidance to help health service organisations meet the requirements for accreditation. A suite of implementation guides accompany the NSQHS Standards, and our team also developed these publications for strategic use in a range of health service settings.
