Every parent wants to keep their child safe.
Australia aims to help parents keep children safe from serious diseases by providing vaccines through the National Immunisation Program, and by making sure the vaccines provided are safe.
AusVaxSafety is a national system for monitoring vaccine safety in Australia. A few days after a child is vaccinated, parents or carers can receive an SMS that asks if their child had any reactions after receiving a vaccine. Independent experts keep track of the responses from parents and carers.
Biotext worked with the Department of Health and the National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance to produce the 2016–17 AusVaxSafety summary report, which reports on these responses.
Our team provided writing, copyediting and proofreading services, collaborating with the clients on content, interpretation and presentation. We also created eye-catching infographics to visualise the key messages.
The resulting products were an accessible digital summary report and 8 standalone infographics, illustrating the key findings.
