Skills: Carrie is a science content specialist, with a technical background and writing and editing qualifications. She is highly experienced in managing large, ongoing projects.
Qualifications: Carrie has a bachelor’s degree in science, majoring in genetics, and worked for 10 years in genetics, cancer and diabetes research in Canada and Australia.
In 2012, Carrie completed a Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing. She is an accredited editor for the United Nations Population Fund and UNAIDS, and is a member of the Australian Science Communicators (ASC).
Experience: Since joining Biotext in 2008, Carrie has specialised in working with our health and biomedical clients. She provides expert content strategy and design, writing and structural editing services, and has a particular skill in writing for the web. Her diploma studies have added speechwriting, copywriting, journalism and desktop publishing to her already-solid writing and editing skills. Carrie also attends scientific conferences and workshops and writes up the proceedings.
