The Department of Veterans’ Affairs required a short booklet that described their community nursing services to help support consumers.
Biotext wrote, edited and designed the 20-page booklet, keeping in mind the older target audience. For example, Biotext used plain English, larger font sizes and visually appealing graphics. 500 copies of the draft booklet went out to consumers to gain their feedback. After the DVA received the feedback, Biotext incorporated the changes into the final booklet, which had an initial print run of 10,000 copies.
The booklet was so successful that the DVA requested the print files to do a further print run to send copies to community nursing providers and hospital discharge planners so they can distribute them too.
